This morning I noticed my friend in Brazil added me as a friend on facebook. So after sashaying on over to the Facebook login and entering the one of 90 likely passwords, only to find out I need to reset the thing again!! I make the desired connection and now Joselito and I are friends...Ha!.. as if we need facebook to confirm it.
Well in the process of sending him a note, the site has these words you need to enter into a field to "verify" whether you're legit. There is text with a hyperlink saying if you're tired of entering these security code words, you can stop the madness by verifying your account. Ooooo-kay....hmmm
The next window that pops up is for me to enter in my mobile phone number...Yea Right!
Sorry Facebook...there's a reason these numbers are unpublished and I prefer to keep it that way. So if I choose to continue to use facebook, I will opt for typing in the security word, rather than "verify my account" by giving a networking site my mobile phone number.
I'm still driving this turnip truck, here! ( said in Ralph Cramdon accent)
So I wonder...do you look at these operatives for what they say on their page or are you as skeptical as I about sharing your personal information with an online networking site?
And if you are willing to give out your mobile phone number online, please share why you see this as a good thing?...please enlighten this old hound, because inquiring minds want to know! ;)

Not even on my personal blog I put my personal info, why put on facebook or orkut? Sometimes I think there is already enough info on my blog...
Agreed! I do appreciate it when great minds think alike. Yay! :^D
