It's been a few weeks since I've had pasta...what the?... I can hardly believe it myself! So my pasta low level light was in the ON position. We enjoyed some calamari and great conversation before dinner made it to the table. The food had that comfort feel to it, but the best part is being able to go out and spend the evening with family, catching up, laughing and reminiscing.
Noticeably the restaurant, Macaroni Grill was less than half full. It's a sign of the times. I remember earlier this year, there would be a half hour wait. The best part is that with the economy slowing, customer service increases exponential
I am such a contrarian. When everyone or those in the media grouses about how rough times are...and I don't deny it...I just feel so different about it all. Personally, I'm happy that things have slowed down. I'm all for stopping to smell the roses, taking a deep breath and slowly exhaling, looking around and within to determine what really matters. It works for me and helps to fill my tank...good deep cleansing breaths, followed by lots of laughter and topped with hugs and kisses. I can see things clearer then.
Try it...trust me...you will feel a whole lot better and this world and these times will start to look much better as you lower your shoulders and raise your head to take it all in. So if you're feeling overwhelmed by it all, I do suggest you surround yourself with wonderful folks, friends, family even pets. I know it makes me happy! I'll bet it will work for you too...yep I say...Try it!

Okay Bday Gurl--You're spoiled!
I think you let too much of that good Macaroni pasta and calimari go to your brain--toss in the family hugs and kisses, and you've become a hippi addict pleading for your next fix. Stop and smell the roses--the economic down turned the roses into milkweeks (Perhaps the Monarch butterflies will return next spring). Customer service increases expodentially as retail sales drop 2.8 percent in October--all the retail employees are chasing decreasing customer Xmas dollars here, otherwise we're going to see some increases in unemployment!
By the way, would you like to purchase some Hickory Farms summer sausage at the Westgate store? I'm sure myself, or Karen, can provide you with some really "terrible" customer service! ;)
As for myself, I'm having enough fun staying with my parents here in Hollister for the week, while my dad and my brother attempt to fix a leaking toilet and shower at my Campbell house--the water is shut off there. So maybe I am getting a little spoiled here, staying at my parents place, with their two little dogs. Maybe you're on to something.
see you're catching on! :-D
As a matter of fact, I'm just returning from the Farm where you and Karen are turning sausage into plowshares...what work you two do!
I'll have you know that as I'm sure the sausage is 100% meat, it's the peanut brittle and Christmas candies which caught my eye...oh and the jalapeno cheddar cheese.
Also I was not left for want and received superb service including samples galore...;-p see...it's the life of the contrarian.
Some see black...I still see sunshine, lollipops and rainbows!
teehee...always after me lucky charms! -V
